Said Sultanov

Said Sultanov got GCSE and A-LEVEL education at Downside School, Somerset County (Great Britain). Then he successfully completed education at University College London and got bachelor’s degree in economics.

 

He started his working career in private business of Brandon Wood Company in Toronto, where he got the experience in analysis of market, financial institutions relationships with industrial sectors of national economy of Canada. He used his experience and knowledge as the head of Central Asian market department in “Stans Energy Corp” Canadian mining company. He participated in transaction on initial public offering on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX-V) through a reverse takeover.

 

During the work in “Kazgeoinform” Republic’s Geological Information Centre of the Committee for Geology and Subsoil Use of the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Kazakhstan, he was the project initiator and manager for creation of “Interactive map for solid minerals deposits” geoinformation system and actuated the project for the adoption of solid minerals reserves calculation for CRIRSCO international standards.

 

He vigorously and effectively started joint project of “Kazgeology” JSC and “Geotech Ltd” for airborne geophysical research as a Director of “Kazgeotech” LLP. KazGeotech conducted airborne surveys in Kazakhstan for clients which included Rio Tinto, Kazzinc, Kazgeology amongst others. 

 

Among other things, he was the producer of the feature-length film based on “Burning Daylight” story of Jack London and “Make the Whole World Kin” short-feature film based on O’Henry
